Ginger Brew Start - Organic Grown - Make Ginger Soda or Ginger Ale
With this ginger and yeast starter culture, you can make a great tasting carbonated drink in about a week’s time. The recipe is simple to make with easy to find ingredients of ground ginger, sugar, and lemons. What people call a 'ginger beer plant from the UK' is not really a plant at all, but a combination of yeast and bacteria that live off a mixture of ginger and sugar. We sell an American version, which is a mix of American yeast cultures and the real UK ginger beer plant. This is an easy culture to maintain and we have been having much fun playing with flavor and adding herbs during the bottling stage. This culture ferments quickly, produces a wonderful beverage,
and is easy to work with!
Note: This culture requires bottling and aging for 5-7 days to produce high amounts of carbonation.

Ginger Brew makes a very nice vegan replacement to commercial soda drinks that contain HFCS. You can very the sugar to taste and amount of fizz desired.

This is NOT a UK ginger beer plant . However, we think that our ginger brew starter has better taste and flavor over the UK type. We have maintained and stabilized this culture since 2009
